Welcome to PREAMS

In 2002, we encountered for the first time the technology of laser ablation, which was still in its early stages. Following test series and durability tests in cold forming, we quickly recognized the exciting possibilities of laser ablation – and the idea of PREAMS GmbH was born.

Today, PREAMS GmbH stands at the forefront of highly accurate products of all kinds; from stamping and embossing tools suitable for cold forming, to plastic injection molding tools for mold making, to non-contact and high-resolution measurement technology.

2022

We are celebrating our 20th Anniversary and we are thrilled that you are a part of our narrative in this way.

2020

Since 2020 we have been operating as PREAMS GmbH. Except for the new designation, everything remains the same, including our core values and services for you: Accuracy, Ablation, and Measuring – providing the usual Swiss quality and on an international level.

2016

Our services were extended by optical form and roughness measurement. To prove our accuracy, investments were made in quality measurement.

2015

Following the successful management of our two locations in Widnau and Rebstein, it was decided to merge them at the new headquarters in Widnau.

2012

Within ten years at the Rebstein site, we had opened our second production site in Widnau.

2002

PREAMS GmbH, originally known as the Laser Factory, was first established in Rebstein. Technology and the limits of what is possible in the field of laser ablation were developing rapidly. Together with the fact that accuracy and high quality remained of the utmost importance, we regularly invested in the most recent developments of our machines.
